The indication of this was recognized as KANIPARAKAM – ultimately called KANIPAKAM which is the Tamil Transcended (Derived) word. Afterwards a small temple was built around the VINAYAKA SWAMY VAARU It is not clearly known when the temple was built. But According to the history in Vogue the temple was said to be constructed 1000 years ago. Even today, we can see the well surrounding the “SWAMY”, which is always flowing with water. During the rainy season, water will overflow.
