Welcome to the site of The Kurinchi Kumaran Temple at Wellington, New Zealand. The temple was started in a rental property in 1992. Thanks to the benevolence and support of the devotees and voluntary priests, the Temple has grown over the years. We moved into our own premises in 2000 and since then the Temple has seen many changes finally culminating in traditional temple structure and Kumbabhishekham in December 2013. The temple attracts devotees originating from India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and Fiji.
The temple poojas are conducted by a permanent priest with support from a pool of voluntary priests. All major festivals are celebrated in the temple. The Annual 10-day festival (Mahotsavam) of the Temple falls during Jan-Feb to coincide with Thaipoosam, which marks the last day of the festival.
