The Ramakrishna Vedanta Ashrama of São Paulo was founded in 1974 by a group of devotees of Sri Ramakrishna.

 

The Ramakrishna Vedanta Ashrama is a legally constituted, non-profit religious, philosophical and cultural institution affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order in India. It brings together people of all races, religions and beliefs, with the aim of studying, practicing and spreading the universal message of Vedanta philosophy as taught and exemplified by the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.
