It was on these five places the Pancharama Kshetras were built. Highlights

Lord Amareswara Swamy, also called Lord Amaralingeswara Swamy is the presiding deity of Amareswara Swamy Temple. He is worshipped in the form of sacred Shivalingam. Goddess Bala Chamundika, the Goddess of this temple, is the consort of Lord Amareswara Swamy. Since the Shivalingam at this temple is very tall, the priest stands on a pedestal to perform the daily rituals to the Shivalingam.

Red-colored patches can be seen on the Shivalingam and there is a story behind it. Earlier, the Shivalingam started growing its size and to prevent this, a sacred nail was hit on its top. Surprisingly, on hitting the nail, the shiva lingam started bleeding and those red patches are still visible on the shiva lingam. The significance of the Amararama temple is that it is regarded as a sacred place of worship by Buddhists as well as Hindus.
