The annual festival in the temple is observed in Makaram month (January – February) with kodiyettam. Kumbha Bharani is another important festival here.

Attuvela Mahotsavam – Water Festival

Attuvela Mahotsavam or water festival is held on Aswathy and Bharani nakshatra day in Meena Masam (March – April).

According to legend, the festival is a welcome ceremony for the Goddess of Kodungalloor, who comes to visit her sister, the Goddess of Elamkavu.
