Serpents are the reptile procession of Lord Shiva and Vishnu. These are considered as sacred creatures in the Vedas. A large serpent was used to make ambrosia by the heavenly gods and the earthly demons.

There are many mythical stories related with these serpents. The temple was built here to please the snakes which usually come out in the monsoon rains. The villagers pray here to not harm their civilization.

Since the ancient time the presence of this temple is recorded. Varnam

This is a beautiful temple built in the Nepali Hindu style. It is a rectangular shaped structure with 2 cylindrical domes on its top. These domes are covered with 2 conical caps and have a brass ornate on its peak. This temple is painted in multicolor and looks very appeasing. There are many Hindu religious symbols drawn as motifs along with the border fronts of its terrace areas.

The sanctum sanctorum is directly placed under the main dome which I located at the back of this temple, were the Serpent God is placed. This beautiful temple is located at a height of 3000 feet it is in the midst of dense vegetations. It is a modern temple having a fine granite slabs grounds. The ancient temple was just an idol placed in the open ground.
